Unleash Your Potential with Kate Surala

My guest on this show, Kate Surala, joins me from across the pond in London. She’s traveled around the world and lived in Europe, Asia, and Australia. Now, she’s a Partner, C.O.O., and Head of Compliance and Legal at The Analyst Research, L.L.P.

Kate was also a leader of the legal and compliance research team after studying law and finance at University of Oxford. Attending Oxford was a goal since she was a young girl watching her social-worker mom represent children in court.

Recently, Kate published a book, “Unleash Today,” with co-author Sarah Wagner. They developed it after finding that existing business self-help books were written by successful women who were twenty years their seniors.

The one-of-a kind modern-day self-help and mentoring book was created for young, ambitious, and progressive women leaving universities and entering the workplace, much like Kate and Sarah.

Their goal is to share the lessons they’ve learned so other ambitious women don’t have to go through what they did.

Kate’s Bio:

At the age of 12, Kate went to court to watch her mother represent children as a social worker. Inspired by what she saw, Kate went on to receive a LLB in European Law from Maastricht University in the Netherlands, and a MSc in Law and Finance from the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.

Originally from the Czech Republic, Kate enjoys traveling around the world and has lived in five different countries across Europe and Asia, as well as in Canberra, Australia. Today, Kate is working as a compliance officer in London and is a co-author of a book called Unleash Today on female empowerment that will be published on 30 March 2021.

Before, she spent three years at a boutique equity research firm in London helping the business to double its revenue and staff by leading the legal and compliance team. As recognition of her achievements, Kate received the Management Today’s 35 Women Under 35 award in 2019, was shortlisted for the Women in Finance 2020 Awards, and the Women in Financial Advice Awards 2020.

Kate loves salsa dancing, yoga, and baking.
